We have highly trained, multilingual VDWS Instructors, which are windsurfing instructors trained and certified by the Association of German Windsurfing. They will work with you step by step to help you reach your windsurfing goals. Whether you've never windsurfed before, or you want to improve certain elements of your windsurfing, Cabarete WINDSPORTSCLUB has a lesson program to help you improve.

Skills Assessment

Skills assessment enables one of our certified Instructors to identify where you are at in windsurfing, give you some tips, and if you wish to continue with lessons, provide a recommendation on the lesson program best suited to fit your level.

Price: US$50 , which includes use of windsurfing equipment.

Time: 1.5-3 hours (time dependant on the number of students).

Beginner

The Beginner program takes you from standing on the board to learning the basic elements of windsurfing, including turning, tacking and jibing. Once you've completed this program, you will be provided with a VDWS diploma , which is somewhat like a "driving license" for windsurfing, and is recognized worldwide.

Price: US $150 , which includes use of windsurfing equipment the whole day.

Time: 3 sessions of 1.5-3 hours/session (time dependant on the number of students).

Refresher

This program is for those of you who may not have windsurfed in quite some time. The Instructor will talk to you about what you were able to do when you last windsurfed, and in some cases, watch you sail for a short period of time. The Instructor can then advise you on the skills they would recommend you improve on, speak to you about your goals, and devise a lesson program based on both.

Price: US $150 , which includes use of windsurfing equipment .

Time: 3 sessions of 1.5-3 hours/session (time dependant on the number of students).

Advanced

This program is for non-beginner windsurfers who are looking to improve on a particular windsurfing skill that can take some training time, such as beach starting, hooking in with your harness, water starting, jumping, wave riding, etc.

Price: US $150 , which includes use of windsurfing equipment .

Time: 3 sessions of 1.5-3 hours/session (time dependant on the number of students).

Personal Training (Private Lesson)

This program is for those intermediate to advanced level windsurfers who have specific things they want to improve on and want one-on-one, private instruction to help them reach their goals.

3 hours : US $30 per hour ( US $90 )
